Scope of this policy

This policy applies to coastalvillagespollock.com, support communications, and software products published by Coastal Villages Pollock LLC, including Sudoku: Daily Offline Puzzle. If a future product introduces account features, purchases, cloud processing, or AI generation, product-specific notices may supplement this policy.

Information you choose to provide

  • Support messages you send to us, including your email address and any details included in the message.
  • Product issue details such as device type, app version, screenshots, or steps to reproduce a bug when you choose to provide them.
  • Purchase or receipt information only when needed to investigate an app-store purchase question.
  • Feedback, feature requests, or other voluntary communications that you send to our support address.

Sources of information

  • Directly from you when you email support, submit a question, send feedback, or include details in a bug report.
  • From your device or browser when you access the website or use product features that need technical diagnostics.
  • From app stores or payment platforms when a product uses store-managed purchases, subscriptions, refunds, or entitlement checks.
  • From operational service providers, such as hosting, email, analytics, crash reporting, or security tools, when they help us operate the website or products.

Website information

When you visit the website, standard technical information may be processed by hosting, security, and analytics systems, such as approximate request time, browser type, device type, referring page, and IP address. We use this information to deliver pages, protect the site, troubleshoot errors, and understand basic site reliability.

Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

The website may use cookies, local storage, server logs, or similar technologies for page delivery, basic preferences, security, fraud prevention, traffic measurement, and error diagnosis. Browser settings may let you block or delete cookies, although some website functions may not work exactly as intended after those controls are used.

Sudoku product privacy

Sudoku: Daily Offline Puzzle is described as a no sign-up product. The core product is intended to be used without creating a user account. If a feature does not require an account, we do not ask for account profile details to provide that feature. Puzzle progress, settings, and similar app data may be stored locally on the device depending on the product version and operating system behavior.

Local app data

Offline product data, such as puzzle progress, saved settings, daily completion state, or preference choices, may remain on your device. Local app data is usually controlled by the operating system, app settings, backups, and device-level storage controls. Removing an app or clearing app data may delete local records that are not otherwise backed up.

Device permissions

A product may request device permissions only when a feature needs them, such as access to photos, files, notifications, or network connectivity. The exact permissions depend on the product and operating system. You can usually review or change permissions in device settings, but disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Device and diagnostic information

Products may process limited technical data needed for reliability, crash diagnosis, compatibility, fraud prevention, or security. This can include app version, operating system version, device model, language or region settings, error logs, and coarse diagnostic timestamps. We use this type of data to maintain product quality and respond to support requests.

Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not ask users to send government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, precise location, contact lists, or other sensitive information for ordinary product support. If you include unnecessary sensitive information in a support message, we may delete or avoid using it unless it is required to answer your request or comply with law.

Purchases and store records

If a product includes purchases through Apple App Store or Google Play, the store may provide transaction identifiers, subscription status, refund status, country or currency display information, and other records required to verify access. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple or Google.

Store subscriptions, refunds, and entitlements

Apple App Store and Google Play manage store accounts, payment methods, subscription cancellation tools, refund review, and related transaction records. When a store reports that a purchase is active, expired, canceled, or refunded, a product may use that record to provide, restore, adjust, or remove the corresponding entitlement.

AI Video product status

AI Video is in development. Product-specific data handling details will be published before public release if the product includes features that process user prompts, uploaded media, generated content, subscriptions, or account data.

Future AI and media processing notices

Before any AI Video product is made publicly available, we intend to provide clearer product-specific privacy information describing what inputs are processed, whether accounts or cloud storage are used, how generated media is retained, how deletion works, and which support channel applies. This website should not be read as a statement that an unreleased product already processes user media.

How information is used

  • To answer support requests and investigate reported issues.
  • To maintain website pages, product information, policies, and support records.
  • To verify app-store purchase or refund records when a user asks for help with a transaction.
  • To provide app functionality, remember local settings where applicable, and improve stability without adding unnecessary account requirements.
  • To prevent misuse, protect product integrity, enforce applicable terms, and keep services secure.
  • To comply with applicable legal, security, platform, or dispute-resolution obligations.

Product safety and misuse prevention

We may use limited technical, support, and transaction information to detect abuse, prevent unauthorized access, investigate suspicious activity, enforce product rules, protect users and our systems, and respond to platform or legal requirements.

Aggregated or de-identified information

We may use aggregated, statistical, or de-identified information to understand product reliability, support volume, feature quality, or website performance. We do not use this kind of information to identify a specific user unless needed for security, support, or legal reasons.

Legal bases where required

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to provide requested services, respond to support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, manage platform transactions, or pursue legitimate interests such as debugging and product reliability, while considering user rights and expectations.

Data accuracy

We rely on users to provide accurate support details, product names, app versions, and receipt information when asking for help. If information in a support request is incomplete or inaccurate, we may be unable to locate the relevant issue, transaction, or product record.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only when needed to operate support, process platform records, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or work with service providers under appropriate confidentiality or security obligations.

Service providers and platforms

We may use hosting providers, app stores, email providers, security tools, analytics or crash-reporting systems, and other operational vendors to run the website and products. These providers are allowed to process information only for the relevant operational purpose and subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Business transfers and legal disclosures

Information may be disclosed if required by law, court order, valid legal process, platform investigation, security review, merger, acquisition, financing, asset transfer, or similar business event. If a business transfer occurs, we expect the receiving party to handle relevant information consistently with this policy or provide notice where required.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms may be defined under certain privacy laws.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so users should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information in support requests.

Retention

We keep support and operational records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law, platform rules, tax or accounting duties, security review, dispute handling, or fraud prevention. Local app data may remain on a user's device until the user deletes the app data, removes the app, or uses device-level controls.

Backups and residual records

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from encrypted backups, security archives, app-store records, or logs that are kept for a limited period. Residual records are retained only for backup integrity, security, legal, accounting, or dispute purposes and are not used for ordinary product communication after deletion is processed.

Account deletion

Sudoku: Daily Offline Puzzle is described as no sign-up, so there is no required Sudoku account profile to delete. If a future product includes account features, the product will provide account deletion instructions in the app or through support.

Deletion and support requests

You may contact support@coastalvillagespollock.com to request deletion of information associated with a support conversation, subject to legal, platform, security, and dispute-resolution limits. If a product stores data locally on your device, you may need to delete that data from the app or device settings.

International processing

Coastal Villages Pollock LLC is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy protections may differ by location, but we use the safeguards described in this policy.

Children

Our products and website are not intended to collect personal information from children where parental consent is required by applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without proper consent.

Your choices

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection for certain information. You may contact support@coastalvillagespollock.com to make a request. We may need enough information to verify and process the request.

Regional privacy rights

Some locations provide additional rights, such as the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, request a copy of certain information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, opt out of certain sharing, limit certain sensitive processing, or appeal a privacy decision. We will handle applicable requests according to the laws that apply to the user and product.

Request verification and authorized agents

To protect user privacy, we may ask for information needed to verify a request before disclosing, correcting, or deleting records. If an authorized agent submits a request, we may require proof of authorization and may still ask the user to verify the request directly where permitted by law.

Email choices and support records

We use support email to respond to user questions and product reports. We do not require users to subscribe to marketing emails to use Sudoku. If we ever send optional product announcements, users may use the unsubscribe or contact method provided in that communication.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send Do Not Track or similar signals. Because there is no single accepted standard for responding to those signals, the website may not respond to them in a separate way. Users can still manage cookies, storage, and permissions through browser or device settings.

Third-party links

The website or products may link to app stores or other third-party pages. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as our products, legal obligations, or support practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
